this semester what is challenging, but after work put in a successful brand. I really enjoyed this semester as I learned ways to create a whole brand identity right from the beginning. I enjoyed the lectures and the seminars as I got to explore what goes into creating a brand. Starting from the beginning, It was definitely vital that I created and collected information from the target audience as a gave me insight on what I could have in my brand and my banking app. Some of the suggestions are very helpful such as having more money management and savings features on the app. I also think it’s very important that I conducted research on the different apps that my target audience uses on a daily basis. This included Monzo, Revolut, Tesco, bank, Danske, bank, Santander and Nationwide.

After collecting the brand research, we moved on to creating values for our brands starting with a looking at overall examples of brand values, then looking specifically at different companies including Apple and Nike and then further with only a phone that most of the banking apps or hard security as one of their bank values, but also they had respect and inclusivity. I wanted my brand values to be unique and special to my brand so I decided on trust respect innovation, customer first and security, I liked creating this part of the brand, as it helped me have a starting point for what my brand will accomplish and look like. I think leaving my banking brand was the most difficult part of this semester. This was because it was hard to create a name that was not heavily linked to finance but still had a hint of what the brand does, I think my name is the real successful as it was innovative and fun linking to the time of the voice which is fun and quirky, personality. Just getting onto the design elements. I was very excited as I could put all my ideas together and start to make the brand come to life. Starting with the word work, I focused firstly on adding elements to the typography to make the watermark unique, but after feedback and thought I decided to stick with only the topography as it was more effective and easy to understand. For the logo, I enjoyed designing. These have played on the idea of creating a monogram and also having the logo as a pictorial by adding the ears and horns, after creating the logo, was very excited to put all of their pieces of the brand together.

I thought colour was one of the hardest to decide on from my brand as there is a range of different colour pallets I could use I think overall my brand colours are very fun and exciting, but I think I could’ve thought out there secondary colours more effectively. Application is where I really got to see my brand come to life this got me excited to start making the app and the landing page as it felt like a real brand. It’s a it’s master one I got a taste of what design I could do it on Figma, but I especially enjoyed creating a linking all of the pages of the banking app I would like to explore the prototype features more on Figma. Overall, I enjoyed making the app especially the rewards page as I thought it was a fun and exciting way to encourage money-management. Lastly I think that creating the landing page really good the brand features, personality and function across to the user. I would like to develop this landing page so that it could be used on moblie and tablet. Overall, I really enjoyed this project, especially seeing my ideas come to life.
