Overview of the app-style

CashCow was designed to help guide the younger generation to build strong financial habits. this was done by offering a fun and intuitive platform, making saving simple, and helping users set, track and achieve their saving goals. the goal of this app was to create a reward experience to encourage saving. whether this was from short-term to long-term saving. this app is interesting and allows for an enjoyable and attainable journey.

Research

The first step of the project was to conduct some research on available banking applications, using the information I had to find a problem that my brand could solve. to get further insight I made a survey which helped me collect first-hand information for the age group, where I found out that the lack of money-saving methods was the most stated in the survey. I wanted to try and help the younger generation to have a fun and more productive way of saving money while keeping them engaged in their saving goals. through looking at the different banking apps, I was able to compare apps and see what features help people save money. when looking at the survey results. I could see that Monzo and Danske Bank was the most used app, while looking at reviews and feedback from my survey there were problems in the application, so I wanted to resolve them.

Brand Development

the next step was to create brand values, which are vital in selling the brand. after some research, I came up with 4 different values for my banking brand. the first value I wanted to instil in my brand is trust which is vital in securing money and trust from the customers. respect is my next value, I wanted to include this as it will be more likely for customers to embrace and trust your ideas and methods. Innovation will allow the business to keep up to date with the evolving world. my brand is customer-first as the main focus of my brand will be the customer’s wants and needs for their personal day-to-day life with my banking app Lastly one of the most important features of producing a banking app is the security of the customer’s savings and the information.
