What is content design?
this is a powerful component of UX design and Ui design. apple refers to the content designers as the
“the writing arm of the design team” Apple
the word content refers to the information, images, videos and text. the content in design appeals to the users emotions and builds a brand. content design focuses on making content clear, concise, and easy to understand, while stile taking into consideration accessibility and efficiency.

examples of good Ux content design
- Apple - through the style guide, apple also show personality and persuasion
- AirBnB - personally and brevity - search field -show examples of such as ‘try Berlin’ and it cycles through different options to show what is available.
- Grammarly - they let users know they are free to use immediately, this builds trust. they make their content be more clear and concise allowing users to know what they are getting in less than three sentences allowing users to still be engaged.
- Slack - easy to navigate and very user focused. they have a feature called SlackBot has personality, encourages trust and allows things to be more clear
- Gov.uk - this website is designed by Sarah winters who created a structured and simple, consistent style across all the pages. especially the bank holiday elements. the website has also been designed to anticipate and answer users questions.
- Deliveroo - there is an interactive search bar when you enter you postcode you can see what food places are near you. Deliveroo has features to make the food ordering process easy and simple for the users.
- Organ Donation UK - Organ Donation recently changed to be an opt-out service, people still have a choice on this. the design of the content allows users to have a choice. Three large buttons with show the facts, donate and do not donate. giving the user the choice and emotion in the users hand. This is an example of how design reassures and empowers users even when complex and emotional issues.
