I am very excited about this module, and I think that this was a good lecture to get us back into the swing of things. I think that the brief for a smart home in 2050 is very interesting, and I am excited to explore the different ideas about how to make it innovative and interesting. I'm interested in making a more futuristic project than the others this year and can't wait to see what I come up with.

Industry 4.0

https://engineeringmastersonline.rutgers.edu/articles/industry-4-0-vs-5-0-whats-the-difference/

Industry 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, introduced digital technologies like AI, Iot, Big Data, and 3d printing to create smart, efficient manufacturing processes. However, Industry 5.0, emerging in 2021, builds upon this by prioritising human-machine collaboration, sustainability, and ethical considerations, such as reducing bias in AI and minimising ecological impact. Leading companies like ABB, Emerson, and Honeywell are advancing Industry 5.0 through automation, AI-driven solutions, and VR-based worker training. As the industry evolves, education programs, like those at Rutgers University, aim to prepare professionals for this rapidly shifting landscape.

Looking into Marvel’s future Ideas for user experience

Marvel uses futuristic technology with the idea of functionality to make a visually interesting story and to make it feel interesting. The form kimiyo bead hints at the AI wearable technology, idth is the progression of AI glasses. Marvel uses lots of different hologram features and interactive displays to show information, which I think isn't too far off from being in today's world.

This week I learned about the shift from Industry 4.0 to 5.0 and how futuristic tech, like those seen in Marvel films, can influence user experience design. I’m really excited to get stuck into this project and explore how I can bring these innovative ideas into my own smart home concept for 2050.
