Module Introduction

Today, we were introduced to what we are going to create and research this semester. I am excited to have one project where I can focus on the users and what their needs are. This is a semester-long project that looks beyond the how of interaction design but questions why it is needed, looking at the users and their needs. We went over marking and what is expected of us this semester. For this semester, we will not have a specific break; we will have an overall topic, which is healthcare, this semester. I think this will be an interesting subject area as there are lots of different sections to dive into.

Healthcare

We discussed how healthcare services in Northern Ireland have been under severe pressure, with long waiting times and the health and well-being of staff.

A personal profile that the user can scan and allows results and stuff like that, so when they go to the GP, then hospital, they will have the important information.
