During the lecture, we discussed icon designers like Vic Bell, Bonnie Kate Wolf and Tim van Damme. We looked at the different types of icons looking at the more detailed and simplistic icons. we discussed the icon design from the historic icons, the Olympic icons, and the first Mac OS by Susan Claire, to icons in today’s world. we looked at the different styles of icons and how they have progressed over time and become simpler and more easy to understand. when considering what icon designs I will use for my music app I will consider the level of detail, harmony, scale, colour, and style of the icon set I will use in the music app.

outline icons - subtle characteristic figures that appear on the outer edges of the hero.
glyphs icons -precisely prepared monochromatic icons and symbols, created with an emphasis on simplicity and easy orientation.
hand drawn icons - hand-drawn icons have been around since 30,00 to 10,00 B.C. in Europe’s cave painting. the characteristics of hand-drawn icons are simplicity, abstraction, artisanal flavour, asymmetry, imbalance and imperfection, visual texture, and shading. some brands that use hand-drawn icons include MailChimp, intercom, HelpScout and Buffer.
