Art Nouveau

Art nouveau started in 1890-1914 and the main idea of the art movement was that the art forms should all be united allowing the arts to be modernised, the artists all took inspiration from natural and organic elements and focused on the curved lines and asymmetry. This international style focused on furniture, architecture and decorative arts. an important figure of this art movement was Alphonse Mucha who designed theatrical posters postcards and posters designs, he was an artist of many forms including painter, illustrator and graphic designer.
