During this lecture, Ronan showed us how to advance our prototyping skills, which I thought was interesting, and it allowed me to explore prototyping not just in Figma but on a platform called ProtoPie which I thought was easy enough to get as it had a similar layout to Figma but will allow us to make a more immersive experience. Since this module is called playful interactions, I wanted to add this to my work.

Firstly, Ronan ran over the basics of how to use prototyping, and then we started to design a Siri-like prototype, which allowed us to speak to our laptops, and it would reply. i thought that was cool, and it would only respond to a specific frame. We used a Lottie file, which was cool as it made it all come together. To advance this prototype, we are adding a text feature so when you speak to it, it will ask the question or phrase you said would appear. aslo, Ronan showed us how to add another prototype, which was to use the camera on the app, which I thought was fun. We also used a button to allow us to flip the camera.

I think this lecture was really important as it allowed me to enhance my skills, and I think that I will use this in my project in some way, as it gives a unique and futuristic feel to the design. and will be perfect for my Siri-like prototype in my app. I think I will also use this in future projects, as it adds depth rather than just Figma's prototyping options

This week’s class helped me expand my prototyping skills beyond Figma by exploring ProtoPie, which I found intuitive and exciting to use for creating more voice and camera-interactive prototypes. I enjoyed building the Siri-like interaction and can see myself using this tool in my future projects to bring a more futuristic and immersive feel to my designs.
