Article 13 is about having the freedom to decide where you live within a country, it focuses on the freedom of movement. You can leave and return to the country if you want. this article supports individuals if they wish to seek safety in other parts of the country either returning to their previous residence, staying in the area of safety or settling in another area.
The important words/ phrases I will highlight in my design are
Joseph Muller Brockmann was a Swiss graphic designer who was born in 1914. Brockmann was also an author and an educator. he was a leading designer in international typography and of the simple designs, shapes and colours used in his designs. he was inspired by many different art movements, including De Stijl and the Bauhaus. his designs followed a grid system on how to be presented and explored the use of typography and geometry. Grid system which became his trademark for his designs. I will use a grid system in my design to help it be aesthetic and easy to look at. when looking at his designs you can see the influence of the Bauhaus use of primary colours he also uses secondary colours in his designs. His designs use shapes to explore meanings especially the use of solid coloured planes which we covered in Week 1 and Project 1 where I explored this more when creating my designs.
When looking at his designs I thought these were the most interesting ones because of the use of the unique shapes and the positioning of the text on the poster. You can really see how he has used the Grid System to present his text as of the yous of the columns to slant the text. He has used the more important information in either bolder or larger typeface.
Wim Crouwel is a Dutch graphic designer but also a type designer and typographer. Wim Crouwel created the studio total design creating his most well-known work. Cromwell uses strict rules of the grid systems which helps plan and present his work with visual order. Wim Crouwel has also created album covers, expositions and identity systems. his work expresses emotion through the colour and the typeface used in his work. after looking at colour in Week 4 I have a better understanding of how colours look together and how they are combined to foreshadow a story. in 1967 he designed a new typeface which was displayed in the early days of the data display screens this new typeface was called the New Alphabet, which was created as curves could not be presented on the screen so this typeface only consisted of horizontal and vertical planes.
